Gokyo Everest base camp Trek is one if the popular trekking destination in Nepal, moderate trek begins from Lukla, requires acclimatization for the first time experiencing people. Gokyo RI offers a super view of the Mt. Everest and other giant Himalayan peaks at all directions. Gokyo Lake is also a spot to be seen as one of the special gift of nature in the high altitude region.
The mountains are more spectacular, the Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalaya and from a ridge above Gokyo, and for 8000m peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu) are visible at once. The view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7922m) is one of the most dramatic panoramas in Khumbu. There are many options for additional exploration and high-altitude walking, including the crossing of Cho La, a 5420m-high pass.
The perfect adventurous trails with cold, snowy and altitude (max el. 5545 m.) gives an experience beyond any one’s imagination. This has been lifetime desire of many people to make a trek to the place and elevation, which nowhere else is found. One, however, should be slightly adventure loving and have willpower to achieve something different to make it a memorable event of lifetime. Day 01: Arrival Thribhuwan international airport receipt and transfer to Hotel O/N Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing Kathmandu valley and evening Trek brief O/N Hotel Ktm
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (35 minutes) trek to Phakding O/N Lodge (2-3 hours)
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazzar (3540m) O/N Lodge (5-6 hours)
Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche O/N Lodge
Day06: Trek to Dole (4200m) O/N Lodge (5-6 hours)
Day 07: Trek to Machhermo (4440m) O/N Lodge (4-5 hours)
Day 08: Trek to Gokyo (4790m) O/N Lodge (4-5 hours)
Day 09: Explore around Ngozumba gleacer O/N Gokyo. (4-5 hours)
Day 10: Early Morning walk up to Gokyo Ri (5360m) for Panoramic Mountai view (Where from we can explore 4 of Highest Mountain on the world and all Khunbu Himalayan range and after enjoying view back to Gokyo and have lunch after lunch trek to Dragnag Kharka (4700m) O/N Lodge(5-7 hours)
Day 11: This day we are going to cross Mountain pass call Chola Pass (5330m) no need any climbing gear and technical just normal walk) and Over night Dzonglha (4830m) O/N Lodge (7-8 hours)
Day 12: Trek to Labuche (4900m) O/N Lodge (3-4 hours)
Day 13: Trek to Gorakshep (5180m) after lunch continues to Everest base camp and back to Gorakshep O/N Lodge (6-7 hours) (
Day14: After breakfast climb up to Kalapather (5545m highest point of trek) for Everest view After enjoying view back to Gorakshep and lunch,after lunch trek back to Labuche O/N Lodge(6-7 hours)
Day 15: Trek back to Dingboche (4400m) O/N Lodge (4-5 hours)
Day 16: Trek back to Thyangboche Monastery O/N Lodge (5-6 hours)
Day 17: Trek back to Namche O/N Lodge (4-5 hours)
Day 18: Trek back to Lukla O/N Lodge (5-6 hours)
Day 19: After breakfast fly back to Kathmandu
Day 20: Free day At Kathmandu O/n Hotel
Day 21: Transfer to airport for final departure for home country,
Note: Because of bad weather we could face problem of domestic flights to/from Lukla delayed by few hours or canceled for a day or more. Very rarely, but it could happen even in best trekking season also as you know how climate changes effecting our globe. Thus, we always recommend you to add supplement night/s in Kathmandu after your trek if possible (just for incase). If everything runs smoothly, you can enjoy other activities like sightseeing, White water rafting, wildlife activities, shopping, as you wish in those additional day. However, if you want heli rescue in the state of flight cancellation to/from Lukla-we can organize it as per your request.
