Pathibhara Trek in Kanchenjunga Region (15 Days)

AnnapurnaPathibhara is most popular pilgrimage destination of both Hindus and Buddhists. Both the Hindus and Buddhists worship the animist deity at Pathibhara with equal reverence. The Buddhists of the surrounding area light lamps at the temple on full-moon nights, while the Hindus pack the temple during special celebrations. The Goddess at Pathibhara believed to fulfill the long-cherished dreams of her devotees. Whatever has wished with good will, will provide to the devotees.

It may take 6-15 days to visit the place. The best time to visit the temple is from March to June and September to November. Pilgrims can also have an opportunity to visit Kanchanjungha range, the waterfall at Sawa and the pond of Timbuk, during autumn and spring every year. The thick forest eco-system along the trail offers diversity of wildlife, birds, flowers and butterflies. Most of the Kanchenjunga range can also be seen from this point. The journey to Pathibhara starts from Suketar (2840m) which takes about 2-hours walk to reach from Phungling Bazaar. Pathibhara Devi is about 8-10 hours from Suketar. The airport at Suketar is the only airport of Taplejung district. Suketar is connected to Kathmandu and Biratnagar by scheduled flights. Beautiful views of Kanchenjunga and Kumbhakarna can be seen from Suketar. From Suketar the trail passes through Deurali, Chhatedunga, Bhalugauda, Phedi and finally to Pathibhara if you go there you can get unforgettable experience from there and you can also relies with mixed community overe there as they have a mixed culture.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Thribhuwan international airport receipt and transfer to Hotel O/N Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley O/N Hotel O/N Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Biratnagar (around 1 hour) and drive to Basantapur O/N Hotel (5-6 hours)
Day 04: Basantapur to Chauki Bhanjung O/N Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 05: Chauki Bhanjung to Ghupha Pokhari O/N Camp (5-6 hours)
Day 06: Ghupha Pokhari to Nesum O/N Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 07: Nesum to Dhovan O/N Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 08: Dovan to Suketar O/N Camp/Lodge (5-6 hours)
Day 09: Suketar to Phathibhara Phedi O/N Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 10: Phathibhara Phedi to Phathibhara O/N Camp (4-5 hours)
Day 11: Phathibhara to Taplejung O/N Lodge (5-6 hours)
